Good breakfast, good location
The room was of poor quality, it was tired looking and very dated. The carpet did not look the cleanest. The bed was also very poor. I'm not sure if you get this room if you bring your dog, it would have been interesting to see one of the other rooms, as the bar, restaurant and downstairs area were nice.

Have stayed here on 2 special birthday occasions. This last stay not only because of the good rate but also the comfort and location. It was 8 years since our last stay and we were not disappointed. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. Due to the short stay we had little experience of the staff but what we had was good. We own Surf Shops in Boscombe "Sorted Surf Shops" and we have no problem recommending you. Thanks alot ! Jo Taylor.
Babies feedig bottle and clothes behind reception desk. Baby of one of the staff in lounge bar. Sorry !

We enjoyed our short stay at the Salterns Harbourside. The staff were all very friendly and polite, our room was very clean and spacious. The views were wonderful, I don't think I shall ever have such an amazing view from a bathroom again! I kept just going into the bathroom to look at the view of the harbour and Sandbanks! The location makes the hotel very quiet, and in our particular room no noise could be heard from any other room. It is a great location for the nearby beautiful beaches at Sandbanks and for looking around Poole.
Our only complaint was that the mattress in our room was very soft, my partner wouldn't have been able to spend a full week sleeping on it. When I mentioned this to the staff I was told they were looking to change some of the rooms mattresses. I hope so, apart from this the stay was great and we were glad we choose this hotel.

Location excellent and view supburb
In the bedroom the toilet took two or more goes to flush and shower was pathetic. On booking out the receptionist was very casual and did not ask how it went. The breakfast on the third day was very slow coming

Ours was a brief stay to attend a local family wedding so we did not see much of the area. We particularly liked the friendly, helpful staff - and the breakfast was lovely!

Location: the hotel was short walk to a marina, overlooking Brownsea Island & Sandbanks across the bay, the harbour and Marina and sandbanks in poole. We had goodies and coffee at Rockets and Rascals, it was located next door to the venue.
